I'm Matt Blake, a Los Angeles-based director, cinematographer, and editor with a background in music, broadcasting, and visual storytelling.

I spent nearly 15 years working in the Los Angeles music industry, most notably at The SoCal Sound (88.5 FM), where I helped develop and produce an extensive collection of live performances, artist interviews, and original video content. Along the way, I had the opportunity to work with everyone from emerging independent artists to internationally recognized musicians, developing an approach to production that's equal parts technical, creative, and resourceful.

Today, I work independently across music videos, live performances, interviews, documentary-style projects, and commercial content. Whether it's a carefully planned production or something unfolding unexpectedly in front of the camera, I enjoy finding interesting ways to capture what's happening and tell a story.

I'm hands-on throughout the production process, from camera operation, lighting, and directing to editing and color grading. I particularly enjoy projects that call for a little experimentation, creative problem-solving, and collaboration.
